Mark Berryhill
Chief Executive Officer
Mark is leading the team to new goals and ventures with his strong background in journalism, video, marketing, and branded content. His career has taken him from reporting to running some of the most award-winning television newsrooms in Boston, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh. He has served as Vice President of News and Marketing for the Meredith Broadcast group and then founded Meredith Video Solutions, which took major brands like Better Homes & Gardens, Shape, and other media brands to television, digital video, and branded content. Mark has served as a consultant for digital expansion to major publishers and broadcast groups and served as President and Chief Content Officer for his company, Equal Entertainment. Mark is active in the queer and equality communities when it comes to charity work, mentoring, and speaking engagements.
He also serves on the Easterseals National Board of Directors. Mark and his husband, Daryl, have five wonderful grown children who keep them busy and active.
Joe Lovejoy
Chief Financial Officer
Since 2013, Mr. Lovejoy, CFA has been the CFO of Equal Entertainment. In this role, Lovejoy is responsible for all business, finance, and administrative functions for the company. He also leads the company’s acquisition strategy, which included the company’s transformative 2022 acquisition of a portfolio of the the largest LGBTQ media brands and the 2026 acquisition of Them.us from Condé Nast. Prior to joining Equal Entertainment, Lovejoy offered acquisition and financial advisory services to the broadcast industry from 2011 to 2013. From 2004 through 2011, Lovejoy held multiple positions, including CFO, at Fisher Communications, a publicly traded broadcast company.
Michael Kelley
Co-Founder
Michael is an experienced media, marketing and business executive. The earlier incarnation of equalpride was started at a kitchen table in 2010 and has grown through acquisition and business focus on the LGBTQ+ space to be one of the most respected names in the community, media and entertainment. Having run the media innovation practice of and serving as Brand Partner for PwC, Michael has architected the advertising offerings of AT&T, built the first model of Hulu and mobile activated P&G’s Olympic experience and repositioned PwC as a global brand following the collapse of Enron, Anderson, and public trust. Michael is an author of All Thumbs—Mobile Marketing that Works (MacMillan, 2014) that is part of the Ad Age Book Series (first one on mobile marketing) and became one of Amazon’s top business books upon release in August 2014 and later, for the year. Michael is active in the national Gun Safety Alliance leadership, innovated “Lock-up Sunday” in Churches across America and gives time and resources to many LGBTQ+ organizations. He splits his time between Provincetown, MA and New York City and is the father of two children and 1 stepchild.
Kayla Gagnet

Kayla Gagnet is a recognized leader and strategist in the digital media sector, bringing nearly two decades of experience in the news industry. Having previously steered digital operations at The Times-Picayune and The Advocate, Kayla's contributions have been widely recognized. She has been decorated with the prestigious Green Eyeshade Award for breaking news coverage and notable acknowledgments by the Poynter Institute's Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media and Editor & Publisher Magazine's Top 25 under 35.
Chris Go
Chief of Staff
Chris Go has 10+ years in business development, events, and partnerships. His career has weaved from health to hospitality, events to entertainment where he’s brought many brand collaborations to life to reach new audiences and create community. Most recently, he was Corporate Relations Manager at Outfest and Events Manager at YPO. He lives in Los Angeles with his partner Mark and their cat Margaux (a mashup of Mark and Go). You can find him in a hot yoga class, listening to podcasts, or planning his next trip to New York for Broadway shows.
Mary Schwager
Senior Executive Producer of Programming
Mary Schwager is proud to lead the Advocate Originals team, which just won two Telly Awards. Her award-winning, mission-driven reporting has helped people fight city hall, get their money back, reform animal shelters, change laws, and save lives.
She is a digital, print, and television journalist who has won 17 Emmy Awards, eight Edward R. Murrow Awards, and numerous other honors. She's worked as an investigative and consumer reporter and producer at television stations nationwide. She's also known as "Watchdog Mary" and built an award-winning brand advocating for animals, the environment, and consumers.
Mary graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. While she was in Wisconsin she also worked as a state-licensed detective performing insurance fraud, and criminal investigations.
Stuart Brockington
EVP, Sales & Partnerships
Stuart Brockington is an award-winning, results-driven marketer and sales leader with over two decades of experience driving brand partnerships, sales, and advertising strategy across omnichannel platforms. At equalpride, Stuart has been at the forefront of multicultural, growth audience, and LGBTQ+ marketing — building creative, data-driven partnerships and activations with holding companies, Fortune 500 brands, and local agencies alike.
His thought leadership has been featured in Digiday, Adweek, and Advertising Age, and he was spotlighted in Adweek's "The New Publishers" series in 2015. He is the recipient of the USA Today Advertising Impact Award and served as a judge for the 2024 Association of National Advertisers Multicultural Excellence Awards. Stuart has also lent his voice to industry panels hosted by the ANA, dentsu, Omnicom, Horizon, WPP, and Publicis.
Sonia Baghdady
EVP, Chief Creative Director of EP Studios
As Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Director of EP Studios, Sonia Baghdady leads creative vision, production strategy, and storytelling across branded content, campaigns, and original media. An Emmy Award–winning producer with over a decade of experience in video production and a career spanning television and media, she brings a rare blend of creative and executive leadership across all stages of production—from concept through delivery. Sonia has led high-impact, integrated campaigns for global brands including Tiffany & Co., MAC Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford, earning additional recognition from the Telly and Communicator Awards. Known for translating brand identity into elevated, culturally relevant storytelling, she is focused on expanding EP Studios’ creative capabilities and shaping a forward-looking slate of content that connects with today’s audiences.
