LAS VEGAS — Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, with Beeline Productions and the Shady Gang, with additional support from BeyGOOD Foundation, is excited to welcome Kevin Aviance’s CVNTY Ball Tour as part of the Equality Ball in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 27, 2023, at the Palms Casino Resort.
The Equality Ball, a celebration of Black and Brown queer joy and culture, and Kevin Aviance’s CVNTY Ball, which has been making waves nationwide, unite in a synergistic union to redefine the boundaries of inclusivity, artistry, and empowerment. Kevin’s electric energy, combined with the authenticity of ballroom culture, will undoubtedly make for an unforgettable night, for more information on tickets here.
“The Equality Ball is an unapologetic celebration of Black Queer excellence and brilliance. Make no mistake - Our communities have always been the backbone of movement and of music - and now we are taking center stage. For every Dr. Martin Luther King Jr there has been a Bayard Rustin. For every Beyonce there has been a Kevin Aviance. And, Kevin Aviance’s vision has not only charted new territories in music and culture but has also created space for the beauty of Ballroom culture to be on full display to the world,” said Kelley Robinson, President of The Human Rights Campaign. “The Equality Ball serves as another space to let the world know that—as Beyoncé sings—you won’t break our souls. Despite the challenges facing our community, we continue to celebrate this renaissance of freedom and self-love and honor the Black and Brown, queer and transgender pioneers who paved the way for us to live our best lives. This Ball is a celebration and also a call to action - If you have a Pride flag, fly it. If you have a song, sing it. If you can vote, you better get out there and do it.”
In a period where unity, diversity, and expression are more crucial than ever, the amalgamation of these pivotal events captures the very essence of these values. Kevin’s unparalleled artistry, rooted in his profound impact on the LGBTQIA+ landscape, and the transformative power of ballroom culture shine a spotlight on the strides our communities are making in the entertainment sector and beyond.
“The Equality Ball is so important because it creates a safe space for expression,” said Aviance. “Celebrating the ballroom culture is so important right now. There are few things in this world that are made and cultivated by the same group of people.”
The CVNTY Ball Tour celebrates Aviance, known for his electric energy and significant impact on the music and LGBTQIA+ landscape. The musician and nightlife personality is sampled in Beyonce’s latest chart-topping album, reinforcing his enduring influence on pop culture. Voss Management presents the tour in partnership with equalpride.
